At Bridge of Harmony, our team have designed a range of programs that are sensitive to the unique needs and experiences of minority communities, which can help individuals and families overcome challenges and become fully integrated members of our society. We have a number of initiatives and programs as set out below which can not only help those settling in the UK, but also marginalised families who have never fully integrated into society and need support, encouragement and help to become an integral part of society. We will achieve this through communicated engagement and social enterprises.

Advocacy & Support

Our team will work with those who need assistance to understand and complete forms and documentation. For example, forms required for the DWP, HMRC or enrolment for children in a school. This is vital when there are issues, problems or questions that arise within the process. We can support with representation and guidance to provide a solution and overcome these obstacles.

Family Counselling

In the UK, individuals often arrive from challenging circumstances. Recognising the hesitancy of many to address issues, our sensitive approach facilitates them in overcoming their struggles. Our qualified counsellors, versed in religious and cultural perspectives, provide support to children and youth navigating trauma and cultural identity challenges, as well as women and families experiencing domestic discord.

Youth Services

Bochra Tari is leading this project: Creating a safe haven for today’s youth grappling with various issues, lack of direction and gaming and vaping addictions and more, we provide an opportunity to help youth from minority and impoverished backgrounds. Our organised activities, outings, sports and debate groups provide a controlled environment for free exchange of ideas, learning new cultural activities and fostering understanding without hostility.

Integration Programs

We aim to help those who have settled in the UK integrate successfully. Often, the first step to doing so, is through learning basic language and being introduced to a community, through various activities. We also assist in sponsorship for courses.

Education Programs

We work with schools and community groups to educate those within them about the cultural integration of people arriving in the UK, supplementing the standard curriculum to address the conflicts which can arise from cultural differences. Ultimately, we aim to break barriers and obstacles to communication and progress.

Employability Programs

By providing work opportunities for people who have settled into the UK can make a huge difference to individuals and families. We can help people find employment and assist throughout the hiring process.

Volunteering Services

Supporting the homeless with food, clothing, haircuts and showers – Massoud has been a dedicated volunteer looking after the homeless from all backgrounds irrespective of race or religion. Interpreting and translating for those who can’t afford it.

Harmony in Faith Project: Bridging Communities through understanding

Harmony in Faith aims to increase awareness about faith communities, emphasising their distinctive features. By doing so, we hope to diminish prejudice and societal exclusion, creating a more inclusive environment for individuals from all backgrounds. In the spirit of fostering harmony and dispelling misconceptions, the Harmony in Faith project seeks to bring communities together across the diverse spectrum of faiths and non-faith perspectives. Our mission is to facilitate regular discussion that promote dialogue, understanding and debunk myths that evoke fear, spread hostility and prejudice and may tarnish the reputation of any particular faith.

Change a life today

As long as injustice & inequality persist, none of us can truly rest. It doesn’t take much to change a life, but one life, can change the world around them.
